Scholarship Program

image

Team Blackchrome Racing is the team administrating and conducting the Tandem Project Road Development Program for paracyclists in SA. The purpose of the program is to produce road competent tandem riders, with each program running for a 10-12 week duration for basic level graduation. A further 6-9 months of advanced training will be offered for athletes who have been offered a position within the racing team.

The Blackchrome Racing Paracycling Scholarship Scheme is designed to attract funding both to the Project itself, and to individual athletes. The athletes have individual profiles  within the team’s webpage. The scholarships are all administered through the team to ensure contributions are put to the best use in supporting the athletes towards their competitive ambitions.

Who Can Donate

The team will happily process ANY donation towards the Project. If you wish to donate, please email the Project Manager (details listed below)
The scholarship packages which include certificate provision to the donors begin at $250. This is to encourage smaller contributors to enlist their friends and families in some low level fund raising, which is highly effective in small groups of friends and business associates. The certificate can either acknowledge the work place, family name, or community group. The benefits for each level of donation are listed below.

• Registration of the donor’s name on the team’s website under the Diamond section, which will be a link back to the sponsor’s business.

• Personal updates from the high performance athletes also professionally formatted and suitable for website or notice boards.

This Project is a proud South Australian Endeavour, and the only one of its kind in the country. It is an example of how community programs can make an enormous impact in supporting a division of sport in Australia that has been chronically lacking in financial support. The next time you go to the gym, or jump onto a bike, or do any physical exercise for that matter, take a moment to think what life would be like if you were completely dependent on another person to hit the road and feel the wind on your face.

If you would like to be a part of the Scholarship Scheme, or make any donation, please contact the Project Manager. Sincere thanks for your time.
